Real Estate Short Sales
I have been working as a REALTOR for over 12 years now and the upcoming spring market may prove to be the most interesting since I first began selling property back in 1996. We were on the upside of a market that had hit record lows in the late 80's and early 90's where many sellers were coming to the closing table with checks to pay off their mortgages. This market is somewhat similar but there is ONE BIG DIFFERENCE - many sellers owe more than they can pay on their homes resulting in "Short Sales" where the lender agrees to take a loss.
